You might be wondering, “What’s the big change?” Let me share the story behind it. On that unforgettable day, March 1st, 2023, in the enchanting city of Merida, Mexico, our lives changed forever. Our precious son, Chace, came into this world, bringing with him a whirlwind of emotions and experiences. Those initial days, though, weren’t as smooth as we hoped.
Chace spent his first five days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) due to some breathing difficulties. It was a challenging time for us, but with each passing day, we saw his strength and resilience shine through. The following Monday brought us immense relief as he was deemed fit to leave the NICU. Just two days later, on Wednesday, we were back home in Texas. The journey from Mexico to Texas felt like a whirlwind, just like the journey of parenthood we had embarked upon.
Today, I can proudly say that Chace is not just healthy, but he’s also a source of boundless happiness. Watching a child grow is a privilege that fills every moment with wonder and awe. He has this incredible knack for making us laugh countless times a day, reminding us of the simple joys that life has to offer.
So, what’s next? With this brief update, I’m thrilled to share that a new chapter is beginning on this blog. It’s going to be all about Chace’s adventures, a chronicle of the places he explores, the experiences he embraces, and the journeys that shape his world.
