Hey everyone — and a special hello to the few readers still hanging around here. It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but I’ve been feeling the pull to write again. My plan is to start sharing more consistently and let this space be a fun, honest place to keep up with what’s going on in our lives.
We have a really exciting trip coming up in December. The three of us are heading to Miami, and we’ll be staying two nights at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami and two nights at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. I’ve always wanted to stay at a Ritz-Carlton with my family, and this feels like the perfect chance. I’m genuinely so excited — the warm weather, the views, the food, just getting away together. I’m planning to try posting daily during the trip, maybe even mix in some short video blogs along with written posts. I think it’ll be fun to bring everyone along with us.
A few updates on life lately:
I started a new job as a real estate consultant for an international financial services firm, and I honestly love it. It feels a lot like real estate project management, which is right up my alley. I’m fully home-based, with occasional travel to the home office or Houston, Austin, and San Antonio — and I’m really grateful I still get to work real estate in the Texas market.
Brandon is steady in his role, and things are going well for him. No major changes on his end.
Chace is growing like crazy and is with us at home every day except Tuesdays — that’s Grandma’s play day. My mom is “Granny,” and it’s been sweet watching him form close bonds with both sides of the family.
We also started a sibling journey and tried for a second child, but it wasn’t successful. That was really tough on me mentally and socially. I really wanted Chace to be a big brother, but I guess some things just happen the way they’re meant to. We’re still healing and figuring out what our little family looks like moving forward.
On a lighter note, we’re in the middle of potty training… so please, send good vibes.
I’m planning to share weekly updates from here on out, and then daily posts once we’re in Miami. I’ve missed writing, and I’ve missed this little corner of the internet. If you’re still following along, thank you — it really does mean a lot.
Time to get some rest before another busy day with a toddler. Talk soon.
